  • Paws the Pressure

    For the first time at a Professional Staff Conference we are excited to announce that Paws for Pressure therapy dogs will be in attendance to interact with staff, offering a pat, a floppy ear and a paw shake in our Wellness @ Work Room for the  13.15pm to 13.55pm and 14.00pm to 14.40pm sessions.

    If you have severe allergies to dogs or a fear of dogs we advise you do not book in to these session times and choose an alternative.

    You may see the dogs in other areas during these times however please note they will be attended at all times by their owners and  have all been temperament tested to ensure their suitability for the Paws the Pressure program.

  • University of Melbourne Psychology Clinic

    The University of Melbourne Psychology Clinic (UMPC) provides low-cost, high quality clinical services to people living in Melbourne. The Clinic is a component of the Melbourne School of Psychological Science's professional accredited training program operating since the 1970s. Graduate students on placement at UMPC work towards higher degrees (Masters, Doctorate or PhD) and see patients under the supervision of senior clinicians who are both registered clinical psychologists and academic staff of the University. The clinic offers psychological assessment and counselling for adults, neuropsychological assessment for adults and psycho-educational assessment for children, including dyscalculia. The clinic also runs group programs in both mindfulness and anxiety management.

  • Jawun | Indigenous Strategy | Murrup Barak

    Jawun is a not-for-profit organisation aimed at building the capacity of Indigenous people and communities, and promoting self-reliance, entrepreneurial activity and business planning. Jawun means 'friend' or 'family', an honour given to the organisation by the Kuku Yalanji people of Mossman Gorge in Queensland's Cape York. The Jawun Development Program, a Signature Project of the University's Reconciliation Action Plan April 2018 – December 2022, places talented University staff into Indigenous organisations to work on initiatives.

    Take the opportunity to expand your knowledge about a range of Indigenous initiatives underway at the University. There will be information about Murrup Barak, the Reconciliation Action Plan, Melbourne Reconciliation Network, and more. Be inspired for change!     Sustainability within Campus Services aims to expand on the University of Melbourne's position as a leader in campus sustainability. Universities have a special role and responsibility in confronting the challenges of climate change and environmental stewardship. The Sustainability Team will be in the wellness providing information on how staff can become a part of the change on campus as part of our popular Green Impact program.

  • Remembrance Day Project 2019

    As part of the 5000 poppies project Legal and Risk created 1000s of handmade poppies.500 poppies were sent to Canberra for use at the Australian War Memorial.

    The remaining poppies where used for the University’s 2018 Remembrance Day Service. We would like to extend the project to the rest of the University, with the hope to cover the area around the Melbourne University Cenotaph with as many poppies as we can.
